Hi, I’m Anastasia — a registered psychologist, lifelong learner, and someone who’s always been drawn to connections, big questions and nature.
Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in the corporate world for nearly a decade. I’ve also travelled extensively, hiked up a few very steep mountains, and developed a lifelong love for languages, Indigenous cultures, and people who take paths less travelled.
These days, you’ll find me cycling through Brisbane, reading utopian science fiction and staying curious about consciousness, philosophy, and the evolving role of psychology in a rapidly changing world.
I started Organic Psychology because I wanted to create a unique space to host authentic conversations with interesting people. “Organic” in the name refers to naturally flowing conversations, but also taps into my connection with nature, culture and land. I firmly believe that if the right people meet each other at the right time, healing naturally occurs in between.

My Approach
In my practice, I integrate evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with deep respect for your lived experience, pace, and nervous system.
I approach therapy as a dynamic, collaborative process. I draw on mindfulness and present-moment awareness to stay responsive to what’s actually happening in the room (or on the screen). Sometimes this means following a structured path; other times, it means pausing, shifting direction, or simply sitting together in silence.
Sessions are co-created—shaped by your needs, pace, and nervous system, not mine. I believe the best therapy is often tailored to individual needs: it emerges from a shared willingness to explore, stay curious, and honour what unfolds.
Here are a few things that shape how I practice:
Ongoing Professional Development
I engage in regular clinical supervision, peer consultation, and continuing professional development to ensure my work remains grounded, current, and ethically sound.
This includes keeping up with emerging research in trauma, neurodivergence, and integrative therapy, as well as deepening my own reflective and somatic practices so I can continue to show up with presence and integrity. I will update this website as I acquire new skills and expertise.
