Information for Referrers
Thank you for considering Organic Psychology for your patient. This page covers how to refer, who I see, and the correspondence you can expect back.
How to referMedical Objects is the preferred channel.
I receive referrals and send all correspondence via Medical Objects secure messaging. You’ll find me in your practice software’s provider directory — Best Practice, Medical Director, ZedMed and most systems connect to the Medical Objects network.
Clients are also welcome to bring a hard copy of their referral to their first appointment.
Patients can book directly online — a referral isn’t required for private clients.

Not on Medical Objects? Referrals can be emailed to [email protected] or discussed on (07) 3521 8590. Please note email is not encrypted — Medical Objects is preferred for clinical documents. You’re welcome to password-protect attachments — the admin team will call your practice to collect the password.
For Medicare Better Access referrals, please include the Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral letter.
What makes a valid referral.
For Medicare Better Access rebates, the referral needs to include:
- A written referral letter from a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician — for GP referrals, a Mental Health Treatment Plan must be in place
- The patient’s details and presenting concern or provisional diagnosis
- The number of sessions being referred — typically up to six initially, with further sessions after a GP review, up to the Medicare annual maximum
- The referrer’s name, provider number, signature and date

What you’ll receive back.
With the client’s consent, referrers receive correspondence via Medical Objects: an initial assessment letter after intake, periodic review letters aligned with Medicare plan review points, and a discharge or closure summary at the end of care.
I have completed training in EMDR (Levels 1 & 2, EMDR 2.0), Schema Therapy, DBT, ACT, and parts-based approaches to trauma and dissociation. Treatment approach and rationale are outlined in the initial assessment letter.
Funding accepted.
Private health rebates are claimed directly by clients. NDIS-funded clients are not currently accepted (any management type).
Standard and extended sessions.
Standard (50 min) and extended (80 min) sessions. Extended sessions are recommended for EMDR and many neurodivergent clients. Evening appointments are available Tuesday to Thursday.
New-client capacity varies — current wait times are shown on the booking page.
